Core sampling
On very old building works such as manor houses, castles or old bridges many of the modern, non-destructive test procedures cannot be used as the masonry is too heavy – some buildings are a metre thick, others up to 10 metres thick.
Nonetheless, to obtain information on the masonry structure, the materials used and the condition of the walls we implement core sampling on old building works, bridge foundations and retaining walls. We store the cores in special boxes and label these accordingly.
Besides this we can take core samples from concrete building elements to determine the compressive strength of the concrete. In collaboration with a recognised laboratory we deliver tangible results on the determination of the concrete strength.
